Chicken Tikka is a popular Indian dish that features marinated chicken that is skewered and grilled to perfection. Here is a simple recipe for chicken tikka that you can make at home:

Ingredients:

    • 1 kg boneless chicken, cut into small cubes
    • 1 cup plain yogurt
    • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
    • 1 tbsp garam masala
    • 1 tbsp cumin powder
    • 1 tbsp coriander powder
    • 1 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tsp red chili powder
    • Salt, to taste
    • Oil, for basting
    • Lemon wedges, for garnish

    Instructions:

    1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
    2. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.
    3. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and coat them well.
    4. Cover the bowl with a cling wrap or lid and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight to allow the chicken to absorb the flavors of the marinade.
    5. When ready to cook, preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
    6. Thread the chicken pieces onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
    7. Grill the chicken skewers over the hot coals, turning them frequently, until they are evenly cooked and slightly charred on all sides. Baste the chicken with a little bit of oil while grilling to keep them moist.
    8. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and transfer the chicken pieces to a serving platter.
    9. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve hot with your favorite side dishes, such as naan bread or rice.

Enjoy your delicious and flavorful chicken tikka!
